education + politics = $

Teachers punished for speaking out. Principals fired for trying to do the right thing. Union leaders defending the indefensible. Bureaucrats blocking new charter schools. These are just some of the people we meet in The Cartel. The film also introduces us to teens who can't read, parents desperate for change, and teachers struggling to launch stable alternative schools for inner city kids who want to learn. We witness the tears of a little girl denied a coveted charter school spot, and we share the triumph of a Camden homeschool's first graduating class.

"One notable school absence in New Jersey caught Bob Bowdon's attention: $1 billion in educational funding for construction. A sum of money that could fund a summer's worth of action movies simply disappeared prompting Bowdon...to make The Cartel, an exposé about the failings of the education system in New Jersey as well as the rest of the country." "Hi everyone, for the holiday season we have
the following planned..

The Clark County Veterans Assistance Center is in need of the following items;
  • Paper Hot cups
  • Coffee
  • Powdered creamer
  • Sugar in single use packets
The Center provides a place for Veterans and homeless Vets to meet, warm up and just chat with fellow Veterans. They also provide other much needed services.

"In the New Year, I want to branch out and help all vets. The unemployment rate of returning veterans is very high, so teaming with this group will be a new direction and one close to many peoples' hearts. I hope you join us. We will be collecting these products at both remaining We Peeps Meetings this year."

"Also, there is a food bank on the outskirts of Vancouver that has a high need and few donations, so the food we have will be going there. Items collected at the next two meetings will also go there. If you would like to go with me on deliveries at either place, please let me know." Thanks!
